WHAT IS FLY YOGA? Born in India in 1918, Guru B.K.S Iyengar; He is the founder of the yoga type known as "Iyengar Yoga", where he adapted Hatha Yoga principles to body disorders. He is an important guru who introduced yoga to the world. Iyengar first used support tools such as blocks, belts, and chairs in his students' asana practices and pioneered the use of ropes and fabrics hanging from the ceiling for inverted postures. Today, ropes and fabrics have given way to a special silky fabric and when meditation and breathing exercises are added to the asana practices you do by defying gravity with the support of the fabric, fly yoga is more than just an exercise, it provides a holistic experience. BENEFITS OF FLY YOGA When fly yoga classes, which students of all ages can enjoy, are held regularly; * The pressure on the spine is minimized and sometimes even zeroed, the focus is on spinal health. * The student experiences flying against gravity and the comings and goings between poses; the nervous system is stimulated, muscle development is intensively supported and a stretching capacity that cannot be achieved in other systems is provided. * During the practices, the student is introduced to the concepts of trust, courage and surrender from scratch in the relationship established with the fabric and most importantly, the student is given the opportunity to observe their reactions and get to know themselves. * Since the practice focuses on alignment, the correct and safe relationship established with the fabric, and entering into poses that the body has never experienced before, it also develops focus and physical skills. It provides convenience for those who cannot practice inverted poses due to injuries.
